Intraoperative fracture in revision knee arthroplasty is commonly described. Intraoperative fracture during primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a significant yet infrequently reported complication. The literature about intraoperative fractures during primary TKA is limited. It is usually seen in posterior-stabilized prosthesis during primary TKA, however, its occurrence in cruciate-retaining (CR) primary TKA is rarely reported.
