The GDC is reviewing the future of specialists lists...again. Its reasons include placing more emphasis on protecting patients, meeting national oral health needs and generally trying to be an ‘effective’ and ‘modern’ regulator. With such broad aims, we ask how singling out specialist lists can hope to meet these expectations.
