The article is devoted to the problem of using multimedia technologies in the educational process of preschool educational institutions. The author analyzes the positions of modern scientists on the importance of presenting educational material using a computer. The definition of the essence of the concept of «multimedia technologies» is given and the didactic possibilities of multimedia teaching aids are characterized. The basic principles of introduction of multimedia technologies in the educational process of a preschool educational institution are determined and the specifics of presenting knowledge to preschool children by means of multimedia are revealed.
