The article is devoted to the research of the problem of control over physical activity during physical education classes of freelance students online and in independent classes. The purpose of the article is to analyze the scientific and methodological literature on the problem of research and definition and coverage of methods and techniques of remote control of physical activity during distance learning online and independent classes of higher education. Listed ways to use exercise control. First, teachers must conduct operational and ongoing monitoring of the load and recovery of students in each class more carefully. Second, students must master the skills of self-control both in everyday life and by exercising. Third, it is mandatory to keep a diary of self-control to record physical education and sports, which will identify early signs of fatigue and timely make appropriate adjustments to the training process: to determine the effectiveness of classes, tools and methods, optimal planning of the amount and intensity of exercise and rest in separate classes. Fourth, weekly mandatory reporting to the teacher. The following conclusions are made. Distance learning, as well as face-to-face and independent classes, always need control. Exercise control should not be spontaneous. Each student must master the methods of self-control and use them during physical activity both in the classroom online and during independent classes. Modern innovative gadgets are replacing conventional devices. We consider it important to use fitness gadgets during classes, which can be used by anyone, and which are already indispensable assistants to modern students.
