The one‐stage transcutaneous hypopharyngeal diverticulectomy has become the accepted procedure for treating most of Zenker's diverticula. Myotomy of the crico pharyngeus is simultaneously done as a safeguard for sac recurrence. Experience of our general‐surgical colleagues with stapling devices has inspired us to use auto‐suture technique for the resection of Zenker's diverticulum.
