A study was done to compare the effectiveness of electronystagmography (ENG), harmonic acceleration (Rotary Chair testing), and computerized tracking in diagnosing the vertiginous patient. The data from 109 patients with clearly defined symptoms has been carefully analyzed to determine the reliability of each diagnostic procedure. Numerically, a combination of harmonic acceleration testing and computerized tracking (72%) showed more abnormals than ENG (61%).
