Hemangiopericytoma is a vascular tumor first described by Murray and Stout in 1942 and featuring Zimmerman's pericytes. The tumor is relatively rare and occurs primarily in the skin and musculo‐skeletal system. It is now apparent that this tumor is potentially very malignant and at least half of them metastasize. A case report involving the parotid gland is presented, and pathological and clinical features are described.
