By David M. Greig, C.M., F.R.C.S., burgeon, Dundee Royal Infirmary ; Lecturer on Clinical Surgery and Surgical Diseases of Children, St Andrews University, etc. T IlE comparative paucity of literature on the subject of recurring ^argement of the salivary glands, is an indication either that e occurrence is somewhat uncommon, or that the condition is 0rie ?f little importance. A considerable experience of glandular CnWgements is likely to be required, before even a few of such ?ases can be collected in any individual practice, and on this ?ry account the chances of missing the diagnosis are increased. ertain it is that the condition may exist in so slight a degree at no advice is sought, and it may be only when frequent rej-^nence increases the patient's discomfort or merely stimulates curiosity, or because an acute exacerbation has supervened, at he submits the condition to professional investigation.
