Quod hodie non est cras erit or What is not today shall be tomorrow The article is strongly based on theoretical linguistic assumptions by Jan Baudouin de Courtenay, Sydney M. Lamb, Roy Harris and Bronisław Malinowski, promoting the idea of individual character experience, human cognitive system and language sub-system. The assumption of individual and unique character of experience and language is naturally followed by inquiries into translator’s identity and its effect on the translation activity and product. The achievements in this area are already unquestionable and hard to dismiss; it is, however, deemed necessary and beneficial to extend our investigation by referring to advanced and integrated neuroimaging techniques as well as new discoveries in genetics and molecular biology.
