High requirements are imposed on economic efficiency of nuclear power plant units operation. Obvious way of increasing
economic benefit of nuclear power plant units operation is increasing the amount of generated electricity. The article
describes a method of increasing economic benefit of nuclear power plant units by shortening its downtime due to
scheduled maintenance and repair. As safety assurance is the top priority during nuclear power plant units operation,
increase of economic viability of nuclear power plant units should be carried out with this consideration, which is the
distinctive feature of the proposed method.
