
Analysis of the features of the formation of the professional image of the teacher

The article discusses the author's course of the discipline "Imageology in the practical activity of a teacher" on the topic "Creating a professional image" for teaching students of the humanities at a university. "Imageology in the practical activity of a teacher" on the topic "Creating a professional image". The author's course is aimed at forming a professional image of a teacher, developing a sense of inner self-confidence, his appearance, creating a favorable atmosphere in the team, forming a positive attitude towards himself on the part of students, parents (legal representatives), students and the pedagogical community. It is based on: the theory of image, the theory of motivation, the theory of leadership, the theory of "I-concept", the competence approach in teaching, as well as the ideas of the founders of educational schools in Russia about the personality and the importance of professional development of a teacher. The results of the implementation of the author's course in the educational process of the university are presented. The study involved 73 students of the K.G. Razumovsky Moscow State Technical University, second, third and fourth year, training areas 38.03.03 "Personnel Management", 44.03.02 "Psychological and pedagogical education". To analyze the level of knowledge of the subjects, we have developed a test that includes 23 questions on the topic "Creating a professional image". The experimental group and control groups took part in the testing. To assess the level of formation of the professional image of a teacher, Pearson's Chi-square was chosen to assess the differences between two independent samples by the level of any attribute.
