Lean production is one of the most popular methodologies of process-based management, its methods and best practice largely determine competitiveness of the world´s leading companies. “Lean Production” methodology focuses a company on maximizing customer satisfaction by eliminating all types of waste and focusing on key business processes. Principles of the methodology are of particular interest as they are used as guides when making management decisions. The article describes principles and main methods of lean production, shows advantages and disadvantages of the methodology, as well as peculiarities of its implementation.
