The paper deals with the technology of logging activities dedicated old-growth forest areas (MLT) in which any prohi-bited conduct forest exploitation, or very limited. But mostly companies with dedicated MLT are in the zone of the northern boreal forests, which belong to production forests. MLT allocated based on satellite images, and do not always meet the requirements of MLT, that is in these forests susceptible to fires, they have been conducted felling and currently planned development of land in connection with the development of new oil and gas fields.
