The ideal of power is one of the characteristics of the political culture. In traditional cultures, power is often personified in the person of the sovereign. Studying traits of the ideal sovereign helps tell a lot about the features of the national political and legal culture. The search for the traditional Russian political culture makes actual the identification of such features.
