Under the article, criterion for assessing the sustainability of biological systems is ungu-late animals’ abundance. On the example of the Voronezh region the task how to modify the composition of the community of ungulates in the region over the past 5 years was examined. It is concluded that changes in the number of super species community of ungulates give an idea of the stability of biological systems as a whole.
