The article discusses the specifics of the implementation of the evaluation category in English using the example of the means of expressing the evaluation of intellect in media texts. Purpose of this study is to analyze the features of expressing the evaluation of intellect by means of the English language. Methods and methodology of work: along with general linguistic methods, the authors used methods of definitional, component and contextual analysis. Results: the means of expressing the evaluation can belong to different levels of the language. They include lexical, stylistic, derivational, syntactic and graphic means. We have identified, classified and analyzed various linguistic means of expressing the evaluation of intellect. The analysis was carried out both from the point of view of frequency and from the point of view of their overall role for expressing the evaluation of intellect.
