Summary The following four names of bryophytes are recommended for conservation: Hypnum uncinatulum against H. pseudocupressiforme, Tortula angustata against Syrrhopodon crispus, Selenia Nutt. against Selenia Hill and Haplocladium (Müll. Hal.) Müll. Hal. against Haplocladium Nägeli. The following three names are not recommended for conservation: Globulina boliviana against Trichostomum brunneum, Bartramia curvata against B. fontanoides and Jungermania ornithopoides with a conserved spelling ( “ornithopodioides” ). The Committee failed to reach a decision on the conservation of Gertrudia validinervis against Barbula uncinicoma. Futhermore, the Committee considers Rauiella Reimers and Rauhiella Pabst & Braga not confusable.
