The typification of the ecologically important and widely distributed Indo‐Pacific seagrass Enhalus acoroides (≡ Stratiotes acoroides , Hydrocharitaceae) is discussed. An illustration from Rumphius's Herbarium Amboinense is designated as the lectotype.
