The true identity of Serapias nitida , a species of Buchtienia (Orchidaceae) from Brazilian Atlantic Forest

Serapias nitida is a name whose taxonomic identity has been considered to be in doubt. Here we show that S. nitida can be linked to a species of the genus Buchtienia. We propose the new combination Buchtienia nitida and put a recently described species into synonymy.
