Typification of Linnaean names in Malvaceae for the Italian flora

The typification of the six Linnaean names Gossypium hirsutum , Hibiscus pentacarpos , H . trionum , Lavatera lusitanica , L . micans and Malva crispa var. verticillata is discussed. The names are lectotypified using specimens from Clifford, Linnaeus and Van Royen Herbaria and illustrations from Zannichelli and Morison.
