Ευρωπαϊκή Ολοκλήρωση και Ελληνική Οικονομία: Η Ελλάδα στον Πυρήνα ή στην Περιφέρεια της Ευρώπης;

A decade has passed since the outbreak of the global fi nancial crisis and the defi cit crisis in Greece. The question that arises is whether the Greek economy has been stabilized, reaching a new equilibrium, as the Greek economy seems to have overcome severe crisis conditions; however, returning to high and sustainable growth remains under question. The analysis lays emphasis on the fact that the country historically belonged to the EU periphery, which is considered a critical parameter for the operation of the Greek economy within the Eurozone. For this analysis we take into account the structure of the Greek economy and the existing architecture of the Eurozone. The article examines also the economy’s prospects, in relation to the European integration process.
