A bstract : Numerous factors have been implicated in angiogenesis. This article concentrates on the expression of the major angiogenic factors, namely, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and the angiopoietins in the human endometrium. Particular emphasis is placed on the expression of the angiopoietins and their physiological and pathological expression.
