A bstract : There is little precedence for rational design of pharmacological strategies that utilize multiple sites of action. However, such pharmaceutical and nutraceutical multitasking may be just the ticket to combat the multifactorial nature of neurodegeneration. This paper summarizes the discussion on several cooperative ideas, particularly on intellectual property issue, current research funding status, and limitations of public and private funding.
