A bstract : The objective of this study was to visualize androgen receptors (ARs) in the testis, epididymis, and prostate of the stallion by means of immunohistochemistry. Nuclear immunostaining was found in all somatic cells in the testis—Leydig, Sertoli, and peritubular myoid cells; in both types of epithelial cells of the epididymis; and in the secretory cells of the prostate. These results indicate that ARs are distributed throughout the reproductive tract cells of the stallion.
