While there are monumental issuesfacing management in the next decade, one of the most important is, I believe, the matter of productivity from the work force. Nobody would deny that the price of fuel, level of Governmen interference, industrial unrest, technological advance and the host of other exciting, or fearsome, changes we face are of the utmost significance, but if we do not have a motivated group of people operating our plants, driving the equipment, supervising our operations and producing our products then the rest is irrelevant. We will probably be out of business anyway.
