A method and a design of an apparatus for continuous washing, under dynamic conditions, of products of surface reactions carried out on adsorbents with a highly developed surface are presented. The advantages of the method are illustrated by examples of the removal of surface mineral contaminations from active carbons (specific surface area ∼1150 m 2 /g) with hydrochloric acid. Application of the dynamic method reduced by several times the amount of water necessary to wash away HCl and mineral contaminations from the adsorbent surface and also substantially reduced the time necessary for the purification of a porous surface in comparison to the traditional static method.
