An analysis of the function characterizing the structural heterogeneity of microporous adsorbents is presented. Normalization of the function influences considerably the value of the parameter W 0 which determines the micropore volume. As a result not only Gaussian but also Rayleigh and exponential distributions are acceptable. The assumption of a definite range for the variance of the structural parameter has a considerable influence on the shape of the distribution function for structural heterogeneity.
