The objective of the present study is a statistical analysis of the characteristics of laryngeal frequency: a measurement of the mean and the distribution, the relationship with intensity level and the duration of voiced and unvoiced production. Measurements were effected on speakers from different linguistic communities. The instruments developed for these measurements offer the advantage of operational simplicity and are represented schematically in the paper.
