The purpose of this study was the investigation of the auditory discrimination ability of black and white listeners. Ten black and ten white subjects listened to PB-lists spoken by ten black and ten white speakers. There were no significant differences found between the discrimination ability of the two groups. However, both groups obtained better discrimination scores when listening to white rather than black speakers.
