Tematyka tomu dotyczy procesów językowej sekularyzacji, badanych z perspektywy różnych dyscyplin humanistycznych: kulturoznawstwa, socjologii religii i przede wszystkim językoznawstwa. Tom składa się z 26 opracowań naukowych uczonych z Niemiec, Polski i Słowacji.
