Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) represents the leading cause of mortality in patients with muscular dystrophy (MD). Standard pharmacological treatments are unable to combat the underlying genetic defects that result in chronic myocardial wasting and fibrotic infiltration. Alternative strategies to
