We point out some of the chronicles in Cidinha da Silva’s #Paremdenosmatar as texts that translate in a literary language the genocide of the black population in contemporary Brazil. We call the reader’s attention to the way the chronicles establish a necropolitics around the black body and how its physical and symbolic annihilation occurs. In addition, we also present the construction of a “poetics of life” in #Paremdenosmatar, which creates fictional spaces of resistance of the Afro-Brazilian population.
