Chronic pancreatitis is an inflammatory disease of the pancreas characterized by progressive tissue destruction and fibrogenesis. The development of chronic pancreatitis is associated with immune cell dysregulation. Currently, the specific and effective treatment of chronic pancreatitis remains absent.
