Endoscopy is a key technique for the surveillance of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis). Indication to perform endoscopy for surveillance includes assessment of response to therapy, postoperative surveillance, and surveillance for intraepithelial neoplasia.
