While there is a need to feed a growing global population, this must be done in a way that is compatible with achieving climate change objectives and promoting social justice and environmental stewardship, while also accounting for the interests of animals farmed for food. A session at the BVA Congress during the London Vet Show in November asked where animal welfare might lie within future food production systems. Olivia Azouaghe reports
