Equine anaesthesia was the subject of the plenary lecture at this year's congress of the British Equine Veterinary Association, held in Liverpool from September 7 to 10. Delivered by Eddie Clutton, professor of anaesthesia at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, the lecture considered how equine mortality resulting from anaesthesia might be reduced.
