Human population growth, climate change and an increased demand for meat and dairy products has led to a rapid transformation in livestock systems around the world. Zoonotic livestock diseases are a particular threat to these systems, especially in the developing world. A new research and training initiative aims to help reduce the impact zoonotic diseases have on people and their livestock in developing countries. Georgina Mills reports
