The RCVS Charitable Trust and the Centre for Rural Economy at Newcastle University are collaborating on ‘Veterinary lives in practice’, a project to record and preserve the personal reflections of different generations of veterinary surgeons to create a national oral history resource. Here, Sue Bradley, who is coordinating the project, explains why personal testimonies are important and includes extracts from some interviews conducted so far
