BVA Congress 2012 featured a session about the increasing proportion of women in the veterinary profession. Despite positive reports of the way in which the profession has adapted to the demographic change, Young Vet Representative, Laura Parish, felt it didn't fully consider issues around maternity leave, which, she says, is at the core of some of the less positive attitudes encountered by women in the profession.
