The importance of training in animal welfare for the veterinary profession was discussed at the recent general assembly of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), held in Brussels on November 13 and 14. The day before the FVE’s meeting, delegates attending the general assembly of the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners heard about the impact that the economic recession is having on veterinary practices
