The following laboratories are approved by the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) for the year December 2009 to November 2010 for testing for Taylorella equigenitalis (CEMO), Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in equine samples. The HBLB Codes of Practice on CEMO, K pneumoniae and P aeruginosa advise that swabs taken from mares, stallions and teasers should be sent to an approved laboratory for testing.
