Responsibility for animal health policy is devolved in the UK and, as recent events have demonstrated, the four administrations are increasingly taking different approaches. In a contentious issues debate at the BVA Congress in Cardiff, delegates had a unique opportunity to question the four Chief Veterinary Officers on their approaches to issues such as responsibility and cost sharing, budgets, bovine TB, and their own particular roles.
