The Veterinary Practice Premises Register came into force on April 1, and the Animal Medicines Inspectorate, part of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD), has begun to implement inspections of veterinary practices. All practices, regardless of whether they are part of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, are required to demonstrate compliance with the VMD Regulations on veterinary medicines. The BVA has produced a simple checklist designed to help practices verify that they meet the requirements.
