With the motto ‘One health: healthy animals = healthy people’, European Veterinary Week was launched in Brussels on November 10. The result of a close collaboration between the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Consumer Protection ( dg sanco ) and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe ( fve ), the aim is to promote the Commission's new animal health strategy and to stress the important role of the veterinarian in animal and public health.
