The 47th British Equine Veterinary Association congress was held at the new Arena and Convention Centre in Liverpool, this year's European Capital of Culture, from September 10 to 13. ‘BEVA is a fellowship,’ said Mr David Dugdale, the association's president, during the opening ceremony — ‘a fellowship joining shared interests in that most fascinating of animals, the horse’. The congress featured a full CPD programme, complemented by lively social events, while topical political matters were highlighted during a congress press conference.
