A female black and white ruffed lemur presented for 10/10 lameness. Radiographs demonstrated a transverse patellar fracture with avulsion of the proximal fragment. Surgical repair was carried out and rehabilitation was completed using a purpose‐designed enclosure. Successful return to normal bipedal and quadrupedal mobility was achieved.
