The present report describes the successful use of a multimodal approach for the treatment of a chronic axillary non‐healing gunshot wound infected with a meticillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strain in a cat. Isolation from the contamination source, confinement, antibiotics and combined omental pedicle graft and thoracodorsal axial pattern flap led to an uneventful recovery.
