IN an article in last month's In Practice (February 2009, vol 31, pp 92‐93), John Goulding looked at some of the psychology involved in the buying decision and how, by understanding this, vets can improve the likelihood that their advice and recommendations will be followed. Here, he focuses on promoting the benefits of preventive health care and describes some of the initiatives he has implemented in his mixed practice.
