WHAT determines whether people are able to perform to the best of their abilities in the work environment? A good performance management (ie, appraisal) system for starters ‐ and these days there are numerous types of system in operation. Here, Lynne Hunt argues that a well‐managed and effective system can benefit any business, irrespective of size.
