PART 1 of this three‐part series (In Practice, January 2005, pp 16‐28) described an aetiological and investigative approach to the collapsing dog, while Part 2 (In Practice, February 2005, pp 62‐69) discussed the neuromuscular causes of collapse. This final article reviews the cardiovascular and miscellaneous causes of acute or episodic collapse.
